You should tell your friend that I’ve actually read THREE Sweet Home Alabama J2 AUs. 

Sweet Home Texas by sarliv_vanessa is PG-13 but very good. 
Home Again by in-the-desert is NC-17 with a little Jared/Sandy at the beginning. 

But the BEST one is Times Like These by _doodle. I couldn’t get any of the links to work so this a pdf of it. It’s super long and heartbreaking and beautiful.
