In 2015, Jared didn’t go to jib because he was having personal issues with depression. He and Jensen had been in England for the Asylum convention the week before but sometime the next week, he tweeted that he was in desperate need of his family and went to Texas rather than continuing on to Rome. He wrote about it in the Fangasm book Family Don’t End With Blood. It’s…I don’t want to rehash it because it was hard to read and I can’t even think about it without tearing up. But his chapter is heartbreaking and he clearly felt no one needed or wanted him around. That’s pretty much a direct quote from the book. Ever since then, it seems like JIB is hard on both of them. That’s why Jensen was super protective when Jared didn’t feel good Saturday. Here’s a couple of gifs from the end of Jib7 and Jib8. I think these reveal a lot about how it effects them.
