Okaay I really need a long cute sam and dean fic !! HELUP

I’m gonna give you a link to one of the greatest wincest fic resources I know: Aeren’s blog.

Here’s some fluffy ones:

And here’s the whole list:

Go look at it. It’s so well-organized that it just blows me away. All the categories and lengths you could possibly imagine. It always makes me feel like a kid in a candy store.

Here’s a thought for you: some people think Dean loves Cas as much/more than Sam. If that’s the case, why has he tried to kill himself twice in the past 4 eps when he thought Sam was dead? Beyond the obvious devotion there, think about what happens to Cas if both Sam and Dean die. There will be no one to save him. Dean knows that but i guess it doesn’t matter in the face of Sam’s death? Am I missing something here? How do people still argue Dean loves Cas as much as Sam?

That’s an excellent question. I have no idea.

What a time to be alive! A naughty question though, but please feel free not to reply or acknowledge this if you’d rather not. That gifset with Dean stroking Sam’s thigh. Is that little Jared making an appearance? A little bit to the right? Jared’s jeans are always loose (now I know why LOL) but lying like that has to stretch them snugly over little Jared. Yum. Again so sorry if this offends in any way. Just swooning over Sam and Dean and Jared and Jensen. Awww! Love.

Oh my god, I’m so offended by this talk of little Jared. I am a LADY, damn it, and you are giving me the vapors. *fans self*

HA! Yeah, right.

I think you might be referring to this gif right here:

by kissablesam? Yes, yes. I see what you’re saying. I think maybe it’s because “little” Jared is in fact not little at all. That’s just my hypothesis though. This is clearly a serious issue and warrants further study so I will watch this gif for the next hour or so. For science.

do u kno what eps all the hair stroking gifs come from? if so, thanks :))

I’m assuming you mean this gifest: http://electricmonk333.tumblr.com/post/143872514126/electricmonk333-always-with-the-hair-stroking

The first one is All Hell Breaks Loose (2×21). I think the second one is Unforgiven (6×13) after Sam had been remembering too much stuff and it damaged the wall in his head? The third is Dog Dean Afternoon (9X5). The fourth is The Werther Project (10×19). The fifth is The Devil in the Details (11×10). The last one is Don’t Call Me Shurley (11×20).

that codependent shit isn’t healthy and you shouldn’t behappy about it. how can you celebrate dean trying to infect himself

Like this:

Seriously though- codependent behavior is unhealthy in real life but it’s a common device in fiction. Look at best-selling romance novels over the past 100 years and see how much of it is about people who can’t live without each other.

Sam and Dean have been this way since the beginning. Did you start watching the show hoping they would change one of the basic components of both Sam and Dean’s characters? And now 11 years later, they’re actually somehow MORE codependent that ever?  That sounds like it must be very frustrating for you. Have a lovely day!

I love your wincest caption and I noticed something. Jesse and his brother aren’t a parallel for Sam and Dean, are they? Part of them are. Jesse reminded Sam his fear and trauma, but basically their story shed a light on the complicate relationship of Winchester brothers.

Yes, that’s exactly what I think. The relationship between Mattie and Jesse illustrated how lost Sam would have felt if something happened to Dean, but Mattie and Jesse were not hunters at all. Jesse became a hunter after he lost Mattie.

There’s no sexual component to the brothers’ relationship, but in every way that matters, they’re just like Jesse and Cesar. They’re partners. Do you remember the conversation between Dean and Cesar in the car where they were talking about trying to help a hunter bent on revenge where Cesar said if they don’t get the creatures this time, it’ll eat Jesse alive?

Dean: It’s hard to watch someone go through that.
Cesar points out that even when a hunter gets their revenge, it doesn’t really fix them.
Dean: Maybe not. But you gotta help ‘em get that revenge anyway.

That’s a direct parallel to Dean and Sam after Jessica’s death, hunting for the YED.

There was the scene by the funeral pyre where Sam and Dean are mirroring Jesse and Cesar perfectly.

Then there was the end scene about Cesar and Jesse retiring. There’s been a lot of talk about the brothers retiring lately. Sam even saved a brochure from that retirement home.

I’ve seen a few people on here say “The writers wouldn’t parallel the brothers with a married couple.” and I laughed out loud. Really? Do they even watch this show? They’ve been doing just that constantly since season 1. The writers seem to have a lot of fun pointing out how much like married people they are.

If you look at their relationship, you can see why they always use marriage as a metaphor: They are together all the time. They are each other’s only constant source of support. They have each other’s backs. They bicker about things like running out of coffee. They’re incredibly devoted to each other even though they do argue. They take care of each other when they’re sick or hurting. Every single time they have a big fight, it’s devastating to both of them. (In fact, the writers always play their big fights like they’re break ups.)

I’m married and let me tell you- that list perfectly describes the dynamic between me and my husband, so the Winchesters being compared to a married couple makes perfect sense to me.

Thanks, anon!
