In this episode the other hunter said some touching things and they showed Sam’s reactions like he’s thinking in Dean “one of them took my brother” “He’s a great brother” “I never got over what i lost that day, the one person in the whole world i loved the most”. can you make gifs of them?

I am so sorry but I can’t. I wish I could! I don’t actually have photoshop or anything. I do my gifs through apps because I’m only working with a netbook here. The video has to be HTML5 for me to gif it. That covers all youtube videos and netflix but I can’t find new episodes in that format.

Maybe I’ll get a real computer and photoshop this year. I hope.

I’m so unsettled by this and as a hardcore wincest shipper this has really shaken me so maybe you can help me regain my faith? Why didn’t Sam look for Dean when he was stuck in purgatory? I get that maybe he thought he was Dean or somewhere else but still? Please bring me some hope and light!

I actually have a theory about this. (Big surprise, huh? I have a theory about literally everything.)

Please keep in mind that Sam had lived without Dean twice before, once for the 6 months in Mystery Spot and once when Dean was in hell. Both times, Sam drove himself half-insane and went off the rails to save his brother. In Mystery Spot, he was willing to kill someone who could have been Bobby if it meant he could bring Dean back to life. When Dean was in hell, he tried to make a deal, tried to do anything he could to rescue him. When he that didn’t work, he started destroying himself to get revenge on Lilith.

That brings us to season 8. Dean was gone again but this time Sam had no one to help him, no one he could play “let’s make a deal” with, no one to turn to. No Bobby, no Cas, not even Ruby.

I think all Sam wanted to do right then was curl up and die. It’s possible he was suicidal when he hit that dog. Hitting the dog and meeting Amelia ended up being a lifeline to a drowning man. Amelia had just lost her husband and seemed to feel the same way. So they clung to each other until Don came back to life and then Dean came back to life. (ha! Don…Dean… I just noticed how much alike those names are. PARALLELS.) Then they went back to their other lives. Although apparently Dean was more important to Sam than Don was to Amelia because she was willing to leave him for Sam.

My point is that I kept thinking they were going to explicitly state that Sam had been depressed and hadn’t wanted to go on living, but they never did. The closest we got was when the boys were talking to Brick Holmes’ wife in episode 8×03 Heartache and she was talking about how he died:

MRS. HOLMES: I don’t think he could bear the thought of life without me. That’s why he drove off that bridge.

Then Sam shoots a furtive glance at Dean and gets very nervous.

So that’s my theory and I’m sticking to it. Hope that helps, anon!

So this is random! But I’m going to the heart doctor tomorrow for the 8th time or so. And when I get really nervous I always check your blog.. I guess I just wanna say thank you, your blog is amazing and I love hearing about you and your funny stories, etc. Hope that doesn’t sound creepy xD. Plus the Wincest & J2 are great. Have a great day! ✖●✖●

I’m so sorry you’re going through such a hard time, love. That sucks and I’m glad that my blog gives you a laugh when you need it.

I thought of a funny story just for you. It’s something that happened on the way to ChiCon last year that I didn’t post before because it’s not really Supernatural related.

Michael and I were driving through the outskirts of Gary, Indiana (which is a very sad area) and we went by this church. You know how churches put those little signs out front with saying on them? Well, this one had a sign that said “Why even pray?”

I said: Did you see that? That was the least inspiring sign I’ve ever seen on the front of a church. What was the name of that place?
Michael: I didn’t see the name. Probably “Our Lady of Eternal Indifference.”
Me: “The United Church of… Meh, What’s Even The Point?”
Michael: “The Holy Tabernacle of What-the-fuck-ever”
Me: All their hymns are old songs by The Smiths.
Michael: There’s no sermons, everyone just sits around pondering how meaningless existence is.
Me: Well, now I want to go to a church like that. I’m sad that it doesn’t exist.
Michael: Then you’d fit right in.

Seriously though, anon. I hope you have a great day and that your doctor’s visit goes well. I’ll be thinking about you!!

Hey! In your reply about the crying scene you said that Jared confirmed the discussion is about John & Mary’s deaths. Do you happen to know the source for that or when he said it? I’m only asking because I heard the rest of the spoilers, but not confirmation about the actual topic of discussion. It would make sense if it’s true though. I could see Dean crying about that and the bros being upset about it to God.

Anon 2: Did J2 clarify about the Dean crying scene in their M&Gs? I had heard about Jensen confirming the other actor was Rob but hadn’t heard that Jared also talked about it re: it being about their parents. Were you in those M&Gs or did you get this info from friends who were or something? I’m happy about the info, just wanted to clarify how you know this. Thanks again!

————————————————————

Yes, I had friends in the last couple M&Gs and I got my info from them. I think there are posts about it somewhere on here though. I’ll have to go look for them later today.

i’m just really confused on how cas fans are very happy over jensen crying over the episode (next episode i think) that dean AND sam are rescuing cas out of amara’s clutch, they say that their ship will be validated, do you know what episode that is (just to keep my blacklist list well updated) thank you

Sorry I didn’t answer this sooner- I was on mobile all weekend and it wouldn’t let me tag it which I need to do because here there be SPOILERS.

Okay, the episode where Jensen mentioned Dean crying is 11×21, titled All in the Family. Originally, he just mentioned that he let a tear fall because it felt right in a scene with himself, Jared, and one other actor. As usual, many people assumed that had something to do with Castiel. In truth, Jensen later said in a M&G that the other actor is Rob Benedict. Jared confirmed it later and said that it was about their parents’ deaths. It has nothing to do with Cas.

I know some people find all the chatter and theories about Destiel upsetting but please keep in mind that this happens every season. We get to the last month or two before hiatus and rumors start flowing that this is the year that Destiel becomes canon. In season 9, they said Cas was Dean’s Colette and he would save Dean from his fate just by asking him to stop like Colette did with Cain. Didn’t happen. In season 10, they said that Cas was going to be the one who cured Dean of the Mark and some even said that a Destiel kiss was confirmed for the last scene. Remember when that totally happened? Nope. Me neither.

What I’m trying to say here is that shippers enjoy theorizing about this stuff and writing meta and that’s fine. I have an English degree and I spent a huge amount of time in college coming up with theories about fictional characters. It’s a thrill to find something new to say and toss it out to others and start a conversation, even if those ideas end up being way off base and probably nothing like what the original author intended. Please don’t let this stuff bother you or make you avoid episodes of a show you love. It’s all just conjecture wrapped up in shipping wishes.

What if the toilet plunger that Chuck used to hit Sam in the head is a hand of God?

If Chuck is God, this would be part of his gospel.

The Lord thy God did take the Holy Plunger of Toilets and smote Sam Winchester:

And the Lord Chuck sayeth unto Sam:

And Sam did sayeth unto the Lord, “Well, my head hurts, Chuck.”

Further wisdom from his gospel…

The Lord is wise in all things and sayeth unto the people:

And it was good. Amen.

(I was going to mention something about Chuck calling Mistress Magda on here but then something occurred to me.

Mistress Magda is a probably a reference to Mary Magdalene, who was rumored to be a prostitute or fallen woman even though there’s no real evidence to support that and it was probably something made up in the Middle Ages. I’m really mad at myself for never catching that before.)

Just seeing how Dean reacts to near-death or actual death scenes between Cas and Sam should show how Destiel isn’t a thing. Whenever Sam dies, he couldn’t move on no matter what he does. He’ll sacrifice just about anything to get Sam back (himself and the world included). But when it’s Cas, he grieves for a bit like with any other friend of theirs and he moves on. He never once bargained for Cas’ life. Sorry new anon here. I just can’t with the irrationality.

You’re absolutely right. When Cas died before, Dean was sad. He grieved and even thought he saw him a couple times after leaving him in purgatory. That’s a common reaction when someone close to you dies- you think you see them. It was a lot like his reaction when Bobby died. Sam and Dean initially didn’t believe Bobby was a ghost because they figured their grief was making them see things that weren’t there. Dean saved Castiel’s trench coat when Cas died and he saved Bobby’s flask when Bobby died.

But you know what Dean didn’t do when they died? He didn’t sell his soul. He didn’t let some shady doctor kill him or kill himself to try and bargain with a reaper. He didn’t try every spell and every ritual he could think of to bring them back. (In Exile on Main Street, Dean mentions that in spite of his promise to not bring Sam back, he tried everything to save him from the Cage.)

So yes, there are other people Dean cares about deeply and thinks of as family, but they aren’t on the same level as Sam because he literally can’t go on without him.
