some things to think about
- in ahbl p2, when dean’s sitting alone talking to sam’s corpse, he says to him “what am i supposed to do?”
- in no rest for the wicked, at one minute to midnight, sam looks at dean and asks “what am i supposed to do?”
- in swan song, driving to detroit, sam tells dean not to try to rescue him from hell and dean looks at him and demands “then what am i supposed to do?”

“I need him. He needs me”
There is a reason why we all hold our breath when there is a
hug between Sam and Dean. There is always so much emotion behind them. The way
they reach and grab the other, the way they cling to each other, the way they
close their eyes, utter relief or the anguish on their face depending on the
situation – you almost feel like you are intruding on an extremely private
moment just by watching. I think these
hugs pretty much sums up the way they need each other.
