I don’t know. I don’t know anything anymore. They forgot so much canon and it got worse last night. Why would they not be able to put Lucifer in a cage if he’s in a vessel? That was literally the whole plot of the end of season 5: Sam letting Lucifer in his vessel so he could jump in the cage. I’m just going to chalk it up to terrible writers and hope it gets much better soon.

Something i just realized in 12×01. Why didn’t they just use a tracking spell to find Sam? They used it a lot before with the spell that burns a map.
You didn’t live blog the show! i missed you. Did you like it? I did bu the pt with Sam hallucinating and then faking killing himself about did me in.
I know. I wanted to just watch the premiere so I could really absorb it. I missed commenting about stuff on here though, so I’ll probably go back to that next episode.
I can’t believe I haven’t seen more people talking about Sam’s hallucinations.
He sees Kevin being killed by Gadreel then sees Dean’s face after he got torn apart by hellhounds. He sees Meg dying and Jessica on the ceiling.
Then it’s just Dean. Dean in Swan Song beaten by Lucifer using Sam’s own hands. Dean’s voice saying “I’m dead because of you. This is all your fault. We’re all dead because of you, Sam. It should have been you. You’re a freak. It’s your fault. Why won’t you die? It’s all your fault.”
And he says “You’re right”, surely the most heartbreaking line Sam has uttered since he said “So?” after Dean told him he’d die if the trials were completed.
He was being confronted by all the stuff he feels guilty about. Most of that involved Dean. He has so much guilt over Dean. Thanks to the BMoL and their mind games, he had to listen to Dean, his rock, the only constant in his life, telling him to quit, to give up, to die. But he didn’t. He probably wanted to right then. As far as he knows, Dean’s dead. Cas is gone. EVERYONE is gone. But he fought back. He didn’t give up. Instead he cut his hand right where it was cut before. The spot where he always pressed to control the hallucinations after Dean showed him how. “I am your flesh and blood brother. Okay? Believe in that! You gotta make it stone number one, and build on it.”
I’m a little bit awed by Sam’s character right now and by how awesome Jared did in those scenes.
Didn’t he break the phone so they wouldn’t be able to track them?
How would that work? They were at the vet’s office. Obviously the British MoL already knew where the office was. All Dean had to do was not take the vet’s phone with him (which why would he do that anyway?) and she wouldn’t have been able to track them using it. As soon as Dean made the vet call her, she knew exactly where they were calling from which is how the woman knew where to go to hit them with her SUV.
So no. He did it because he was mad that they had Sam. Very, very mad.
Why did Dean snap his phone into two halves?
He was absolutely furious that the BMoL had Sam.
I mean, look at his face right after that:
I’d be veryyyy afraid if I saw Dean Winchester that pissed at me.
But here’s an interesting thing. Someone asked Emma Peterson who works on the show about the phone and this was her response:
So Jensen just straight up broke that phone in half with his bare hands. Go, Jensen! (X)
Seriously, who hangs up on Dean during an epic “TOUCH SAM AND I’LL KILL YOU” speech? That’s just bad manners.
Can we just talk about Jared’s adorable bare feet though?
