There is a reason why we all hold our breath when there is a
hug between Sam and Dean. There is always so much emotion behind them. The way
they reach and grab the other, the way they cling to each other, the way they
close their eyes, utter relief or the anguish on their face depending on the
situation – you almost feel like you are intruding on an extremely private
moment just by watching.  I think these
hugs pretty much sums up the way they need each other.

Guh, this scene! It feels like a perfect cocktail of my favourite kinks: Sleeping Dean! Sam’s amazing bedhair! Sam hitting Dean awake like a little kid! Purgatory survivor Dean simply curling himself further into his pillow because he knows it’s Sam and Sam means safety! Single layers! Grumpy princess Dean! Bossy Sam! Sam’s huffy chest! Dean’s cute socked feet! Full bodyshots! …

Reminder that this was Jensen actually asleep on set. They decided to have Jared as Sam go over and start the scene. 

So this adorableness, with his arm under the pillow and the other arm wrapped around with his hand gripping the pillow? That’s how Jensen sleeps. And how he grabs the pillow tighter when Jared hits him to wake him up? That’s just Jensen’s reflex.  And in the second to last gif? That’s Jensen realizing that Jared is being Sam, and they’re rolling.
