we’ll cling together so tight that nothing and no one’ll ever tear us apart. every atom of me and every atom of you … and when they use our atoms to make new lives, they won’t just be able to take one, they’ll have to take two, one of you and one of me, we’ll be joined so tight.

Tracy’s never ending list of favorite scenes  Simon Said

Reason: What strikes me most about this scene is that Dean is totally incapable of helping Sam with these visions, he’s completely useless at taking away Sam’s pain. But he can help his brother physically. He goes to him, holds his arms, lets Sam lean against him, leads him down, makes sure he’s comfortable, keeps a hand on him to make sure he knows what’s real, and waits, asking if Sam’s okay. And the way Sam keeps his hand out, angled toward Dean, and how Dean’s hand hovers nearby like he’s ready to grab it at any time if need be, shows that Sam knows Dean will always be there for him, ready to help.

Random observation: It’s kinda funny that the monsters Dean chose to remark on (and those Sam chose to remind Dean about) were Djinn and Sirens. You know, “I’d rather stab myself than live in a world where we were estranged” Djinn, and “I’m not a hot chick but an actual literal stand-in for your brother” Sirens. I mean. Just, you know. An observation. Because “Happiness means nothing if I don’t remember you” wasn’t quite clear enough.
