I love how when someone asked them what shows they would pick if they redid Changing Channels, Jared says:

Hmmm, well I’m not into it that much, my younger brother is a lot like Sammy and my wife says I have a lot of Dean in me (oh yeah I said it, sploosh), so it kinda hits a little close to home.  I would ship myself with Rowena, Ruthie Connell is a fox.  As far as Wincest fics here you go:

The scene is 1950′s Milwaukee.  Young Sam Winchester is an all american HS student living with his blue collar parents.  One day a rogueish, handsome, rough around the edges, leather clad motorcycle mechanic named Dean rents the apartment out above the family garage.  From the moment he laid eyes on him and caught a whiff of that leather and gasoline cologne he wore, young Sam knew it would be hard to resist.  “Hey Kid, anybody ever teach ya to ride?”  That was the question that started it all.  Sam knew there would be a lot of “rides” in their future.  Eventually, “Sit on it” became their own private lovers joke.  Leather Dean would sing him to sleep in his arms while watching the submarine races “Good bye grey sky, hello blue, cause nothing can hold me when I hold you.  It feels so right, it can’t be wrong, rockin’ and rolling all night long.”  Oh yes those were Happy Days…

This Happened!

Husband of the chick who runs this blog here.  While she’s in MN hanging with the self titled “Wincest Dreamteam” (who is the Laettner of that group anyways?) she let me in here to have some fun.

On the rarest of occasions we may or may not step outside our comfort zones in the sack.  We don’t need to, it’s just that good, seriously.  So one night she says to me “I want you to be Sam”, OK, she usually makes me look all pouty and play Dean, (I once broke a blood vessel in my eyeball trying to force out a single tear) but I thought “Whatever”.  Then she reaches under her pillow and pulls out her vibe (it’s not bigger than me so I’m cool with it) and she says “And this will be Dean…”  I am liking where this is going at this point.  I am seriously beyond full chub now just figuring out the schematics of this operation.  Where will I spelunk first??  Will we double dip?? My God she is ambitious!  

At this point she sat up, walked over to the chair at the foot of the bed, sat down, wryly smiled and… Explained to me how all this was really going to go down, and where “Dean” was going, and how exactly “Sam” was going to be participating.  Sigh.  I love my wife, I made it happen, I took one for the team.  Supernatural hurts.

have you read any good fics lately that are newer? i feel like i’ve read every j2 and wincest story in this fandom. :(((

I feel you. I read a lot so I go through fics pretty fast. I have read some good ones lately, most of them from the SPN Meant to Be challenge. That’s been a godsend. 

Begin to Begin Again  by dugindeep(hotsauce). Future!fic, J2 non-AU. Jensen is very sad after the show ends but eventually he figures out what he needs. 

Heartstrings by madebyme_x. J2 AU where Jared is a hard-living rock star who’s in a bus crash and Jensen is a nurse. This is shorter (~8K) but very good. 

The Lost by Phoenix1966. J2 AU about movie star!Jensen and a case of mistaken identity. This is a WIP but it was just updated and it’s really good. 

The Roommate by ashtraythief. J2 AU that’s very cute and funny and pretty sexy too. 

Jensen’s Choice by Zara_Zee. OH MY GOD, I LOVE THIS VERSE. I would read 100 stories about this version of the guys. Jensen is a rich kid with a dark past who stole money from a motorcycle club and ran. Jared is the VP of that club. Jensen’s past is about to catch up with him in a big way.  Read the warnings but if nothing there bothers you, READ IT. You won’t be sorry. 

And one older fic that’s relevant now because Pokemon: 

Arm in Arm, We’ll Fight to Win by cherie_morte. Pretty much exactly what you think it is. J2 AU that contains the best line ever: “You have a Pokemon dick!” I want that on a t-shirt. 

And one awesome Wincest fic from Linds:

The King and the Lionheart by waywardelle. Wincest curtain fic that picks up after the end of season 10. Sam and Dean settle down in a small town and pretend to be married. Really beautifully done and exactly the kind of story that I adore. 

They are right- most of us never had a choice about shipping it but not because of a lack of love interests. More because we can see that their bond is so much bigger than any romantic subplot. 

Also, who calls us SuperNats? Did they just make that up?

Other than that though, A+ reporting, E!news. I love the shout-out to fan fiction writers, the little graphic where you made them kiss behind the heart, and the way you cut Jared in there at the end like he was talking about our ship. (X)
