I’m just now watching The Thing so…

Dean putting notes on Sam. Did that one say “Lick me” with an arrow pointing at Sam’s butt? Oh it was KICK me? Not in my head it wasn’t.

Also Sam is a very well-trained hunter but he doesn’t wake up when Dean is putting those notes on him because he subconsciously knows only Dean would touch him gently while he sleeps like that.

“I’m not gonna let you go back there by yourself.” Yes, protective!Dean is my favorite song thanks for asking.

Bickering over Sam’s salad and Dean’s cholesterol at the diner. You know that waitress wanted to ask how long they’ve been married.

Protective Dean protectively yelling SAMMY twice? This is a protective bonanza. Have I officially said the word “protective” too many times? Tough. PROTECTIVE. DEAN.

THEY TOOK MY BROTHER I”M GONNA GET HIM BACK and he goes right to building a bomb? Who sold their soul for this episode? Was it me?? Maybe. I’ll check and see if I’m soulless. Based on Sam, that would mean I’m now extra extra sexy.

Her mate is on the other side of the rift and Dean’s all “Oh my god. That’s tragic. It’s like a Hallmark movie but with tentacles.” Then he goes into that rift and is separated from Sam and I’m like OH MY GOD THAT’S TRAGIC IT’S LIKE A HALLMARK MOVIE WITHOUT TENTACLES. Btw, Hallmark movies could do with a few tentacles. My mom watches them and they are a snorgasm.

And YES. The ending is a paper thin excuse to separate the brothers. I agree. But Sam being hurt that Dean is going without him? His “So you want Ketch to go and not me?” (which feels a little like a callback to Sacrifice and “who are you going to turn to next time instead of me?”) and Dean’s “I don’t care if HE dies.” with the obvious implication that Dean doesn’t really care about himself or Ketch going on this very dangerous mission as long as Sam is safe? Those last looks and touches before Dean jumped in?? That’s more good bro stuff than we’ve had in awhile and I am very happy.

eugara:

So…this episode’s whole A-plot is about Shokoth who got separated from her lover and mate on the other side of a dimensional rift—something which Dean even comments on as being tragic and Hallmark-romantic—and then the episode ends with a big dramatic scene about how Dean and Sam are getting reluctantly separated…on opposite sides of a dimensional rift.

Just making sure I’m getting this right ;D
