Wow, about that ‘peacemaker’ criticism Dean seems to throw to Sam in these latest gifs… Dean really has some nerves there. :) I thoroughly love Dean, flaws included, because that makes him complex and so very interesting. But I mean, Dean spent his damn entire existence ONLY doing the ‘peacemaker’ with his dad and Sam, actually NEVER ‘picking a side’ between them for his entire damn life, and now that Sam is only doing it once or twice with Cas or his Mom, Dean dares to be all in his face.(p1)

(p2) Like, come on man, seriously? 🙂 Dean should (once again?) be a little less self-righteous and a little more aware of his own behavior, instead of harshly criticizing in others the very same attitude himself is displaying all the time. But once again, that’s a part of him too, and I sure love him like that! But still, this time he exagerated a tad bit – he’s the last one on earth who could criticize Sam for trying to be a ‘peacemaker’ in family matters… I’m curious to see it unfolding! 🙂

Here’s the thing. I started out in this fandom as more of a Dean fan and found myself won over completely by Sam over time. I love them both now and it’s pretty equal. The way I see it, what Dean is saying in that clip is sort of what the fandom has been saying. Sam deserves to have his hurt and trauma validated and he shouldn’t have to repress it all and work with the people who hurt him. Dean is telling him to get angry and take a stand. In a way, I’m very happy about it. I would love to see Sam just once get really mad and say NO. I’m not going to take this anymore. I understand why he doesn’t- he tries to keep his anger down because he can be downright terrifying when he’s mad (for example: every time someone has taken Dean from him). But maybe it’s time he got a little pissed. Just my opinion.
