Sam immediately telling Mary to go and following Dean out of the room reminds me of Devil’s Trap when John was possessed and Dean knew it and John was trying to convince Sam that he wasn’t and Sam just shook his head and moved behind Dean. 

That bond is better than EVERYTHING else on this damn show.
